A dramatic transformation to this 1960’s ranch occurred when we took out every wall on the first floor including moving the kitchen into the former dining room. to create one large, open concept living space.

The existing floor plan included a very small, outdated kitchen, separate closed-in dining room and long rectangular living room with limited furniture placement options. A 25’ room span with concealed header gives the whole space one flush ceiling and plenty of room for proper furniture placement.

A contemporary kitchen with unique materials, finishes, and modern amenities include alder wood cabinetry with a chestnut stain to compliment the solid surface countertops in concrete gray on the perimeter and black on the island. A stainless steel farm style sink adds to the modern feel in this kitchen.

Stranded bamboo covers the entire floor space. A complete electrical plan includes recessed lighting, pendant lighting, in-cabinet lighting in the island with the glass doors, and under cabinet lighting to highlight the beautiful stacked slate backsplash.

This kitchen boasts top-of-the-line appliances, including Wolf range, Sub Zero refrigerators, warming drawers, dish-drawers and a custom made stainless steel range hood with stainless steel backsplash. Interior features galore include a hidden message center, chrome pullouts for spices and storage, and built-in knife wood insert set in the concrete countertop.

Custom metal artistic touches include: the range hood, elevated countertop supports, flip –up stainless steel cabinet door, and not to mention the corrugated metal covering the entire ceiling and front of the island. Custom cabinetry was incorporated with a stain hand selected by our client in a rich espresso with just a hint of plum.

Our client wanted the island to be the focal point and wanted something “she had never seen before”. Angled wing-walls were created to support the three-tier island. Multiple countertop surfaces were combined using engineered quartz in a mustard color that highlights the Elkay Mystic sink, a 48” long meandering entertainment sink. Concrete was used for the 6” thick elevated bar and perimeter countertops.

Kitchen Addition
Elm Grove, WI

This 1000 square foot addition included a large kitchen, dining area, master suite, 4th bedroom, mudroom and 2 season room. The kitchen features Alder cabinetry, concrete countertops, a tile backsplash in a random geometric pattern, farm sink, elevated snack bar and bamboo flooring throughout the new space. Ceramic tile flooring was installed in the mudroom, 3 season room and master bathroom with large walk-in shower and separate whirlpool tub.

Kitchen Addition
Wind Lake, WI

The objective was to expand and enhance this modest 1 ½ story lake home. We did this by replacing the existing garage with a 2300 sq ft, two-story addition with a new attached garage and by completely renovating the existing home. It was important to provide good visibility from the heart of the home to the rear and front yards, so we moved the kitchen into the new addition, and added a large french patio door for great lake visibility from the kitchen. This universally designed kitchen maintains larger than standard walk ways, beautiful maple and painted cabinetry and unique heavily veined granite on the countertops and island top. A custom designed tile backsplash incorporates a pot filler for added convenience.

Muskego, WI

This Muskego kitchen remodel included Holiday Cabinets in raised panel maple wood, complimented by Baltic Brown granite with an ogee edge.

A new hickory wood floor was added including an elevated snack bar area. Special details include furniture feet on the island, corbels and dentil crown.
