Kitchen Addition
Wind Lake, WI

The objective was to expand and enhance this modest 1 ½ story lake home. We did this by replacing the existing garage with a 2300 sq ft, two-story addition with a new attached garage and by completely renovating the existing home. It was important to provide good visibility from the heart of the home to the rear and front yards, so we moved the kitchen into the new addition, and added a large french patio door for great lake visibility from the kitchen. This universally designed kitchen maintains larger than standard walk ways, beautiful maple and painted cabinetry and unique heavily veined granite on the countertops and island top. A custom designed tile backsplash incorporates a pot filler for added convenience.

Kitchen Expansion and Remodel
Wauwatosa, WI

Significant structural modifications were necessary to integrate the kitchen, dining room and sunroom, primarily the removal of an 18’ long load-bearing wall into the sunroom.  Structural changes included framing the sunroom floor 6” higher, replacement of the existing bay window with a 6’ Pella patio door, and removal of the masonry fireplace.

Oak flooring was installed throughout the newly remodeled space.  Custom designed hickory cabinets with granite countertops are accented by a tumbled stone tile backsplash and ceramic tile finishing of the island wall.

Lighting modifications included an electrical service upgrade, recessed lighting, under-cabinet task lighting, above/in cabinet low voltage ambiance lighting, track lighting for the vaulted ceiling, and exterior lighting outside of the patio door.
